Tour Itinerary:


Day 1 | Nov 1 | Depart: Depart USA for overnight flight to Israel

Day 2 | Nov 2 | Tiberias: Arrive at the Ben Gurion Airport where you will be met by a representative who will escort you to your guide and bus. Transfer to Tiberias and check into the hotel where you will stay for the next 4 nights. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Tiberias

Day 3 | Nov 3 | Tiberias: After breakfast at the hotel, we board a wooden boat for a ride on the Sea of Galilee. Our day today is spent visiting sites of Jesus’ ministry. We begin at Magdala, home of Mary Magdalene and tour the ongoing excavations. We continue to the Mount of Beatitudes. A short walk down the hill brings us to Tabgha visiting the Church of Loaves and Fish, commemorating the site of Jesus’ miraculous feeding of 500 and also the Church of the Primacy of Peter. We continue to Capernaum, the town where Peter lived and the center of Jesus’ ministry. We end the day at Mt. Tabor. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 | Nov 4 | Tiberias: After breakfast we drive to Nazareth. Visit the Church of the Annunciation, where the angel Gabriel told Mary that she would conceive by the power of the Holy Spirit. Drive to Cana, the site of Jesus’ first miracle, changing water into wine. Those who wish to renew their wedding vows can do so at the Church of the 1st Miracle. Drive through the Valley of Armageddon to Megiddo (UNESCO World Heritage Site), located at the western entrance to the Jezreel Valley in the Lower Galilee. View the ruins atop Tel Megiddo. We end the day with a visit to the Carmelite monastery and church of Stella Maris (Star of the Sea). Return to the hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight

Day 5 | Nov 5 | Tiberias to Jerusalem: After breakfast we check out of the hotel. We stop at Yardenit, the baptism site on the Jordan River. Those who would like can renew their baptism vows. Drive south through the Jordan Valley, by-passing Jericho, to Qasr el Yahud. Those who wish to float in the Dead Sea (optional) will have the opportunity. Begin the ascent through the Judean wilderness to Jerusalem. Stop on Mount Scopus for a first panoramic view of Jerusalem, old and new, before checking into your hotel.

Day 6 | Nov 6 | Jerusalem: After breakfast we ascend the Mount of Olives to visit the Church of the Ascension and the Church of Pater Noster. Walk down the Palm Sunday Road, stopping at the Church of Dominus Flevit.  We continue down the hill to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was arrested, to see the old olive trees and the Basilica of the Agony. We drive through the Kidron Valley to Mt. Zion where we visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, meaning cock’s-crow. Continue to the Cenacle to see the Upper Room of the Last Supper and King David’s Tomb. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 | Nov 7 | Jerusalem: After breakfast, we drive to the Old City and enter through Lions Gate, also known as St. Stephen’s Gate. We visit the Crusader Church of St. Anne and the Pools of Bethesda. Walking below the Ecce Homo Arch, we proceed through the Via Dolorosa, walking along the 14 Stations of the Cross from the remains of the Antonia Fortress to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, also called the Church of the Resurrection. Continue through the oriental bazaars to the Jewish Quarter and walk along the Cardo. We end the day at the Western Wall, the holiest place for the Jews and we can view the Temple Mount from below. Transfer back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 | Nov 8 | Jerusalem: After breakfast we drive to the pastoral village of Ein Karem, We visit the Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist and the Church of the Visitation. We continue to the Mt. of Remembrance to visit Yad VaShem, the memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. In the afternoon, we drive to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. In Bethlehem, you will have the opportunity to view the Shepherd’s Fields. We continue to Manger Square which stands in front of the Church of the Nativity. Return to the hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 | Nov 9 | Depart: After breakfast we check out of the hotel and depart for Ben Gurion Airport for our return flight.
